Last Sunday I took the plunge and did something I said I would never do. I started attending a Beth Moore Bible study. There is nothing wrong with Beth, she is a strong women of faith and a fireball. But I always thought she was a little over the top. But she is proving me wrong.
I am doing her Bible study called “Breaking Free”. It’s an 11 week study where we have homework every night. The book is designed to break through bondage and to come into abundance in Christ. You see we all have or have had bondage in our lives. Things from our past or even present that distances us from Christ. I have had my fair share of bondage in my life. And we stay in the same places in our walks. We aren’t maturing or growing because we want to be comfortable and hold on to stuff.
Today I was doing my homework for the study and I came across this….
“We may be afraid to ask God on a daily basis to keep us humble because we know humility will involve discomfort”. Beth Moore.
Pride is something that haunts most of us. I am prideful in so many ways. But we can ask God to take away our pride, we can lay it at the foot of the cross. We can break free!!
So thats what I’m doing today and I pray that for you. I am praying for God to humble me daily. It has nothing to do with us or what we are good at or what we have to offer. It is all about glorifying Him. In what ways are you prideful?

Yes beth moore. I had one bible study of hers! WOW. it really was good. Imiss you jessie and praying that you just find your peace in God …..extreme and utter peace. I believe he has put in you a joy that is rare from many…and that joy will be used to bring His Kingdom!!!!! Remember what he has done in yoru life and cling to the future my sissy!!!! lets talk soon.
Do you remember Ali’s imitation of her in that skit in South Africa? I still chuckle. Seriously though. that is a great bible study. You will love it. study it. apply it. don’t let the enemy steal your faith – step up to grow up. You can do it! God is in you and for you. praying for you.
